MATRIXx Advanced

The MATRIXx Advanced course prepares you to use the advanced features in MATRIXx that support tailoring of the product to specific project needs, using the product in a team environment, and optimizing generated source code.

• MATRIXx Basics Attendees

• Users and technical managers evaluating MATRIXx in purchasing decisions

After attending this course you will be able to: 

• Use MATRIXx in a team environment
• Define custom palettes and blocks, and use them in building models
• Optimize AutoCode generated

Prerequisites: 

• MATRIXx Basics or equivalent MATRIXx experience

Day 1
SystemBuild Access

• Using SystemBuild Access automate model building and as an interface to other tools
• Understanding the language and syntax of SystemBuild Access and how it may be used

Custom Palette and Blocks

• Tailoring SystemBuild palettes and blocks to specific project needs

• Defining custom palettes and blocks, and using them in building models

Components

• Using MATRIXx in a team environment

• Defining model hierarchies that can be shared among different workgroups (Components)

• Creating component interfaces and incorporating components into models

• Encrypting license components

Day 2
AutoCode Optimizations

• Using the optimization features of AutoCode

• Examples illustrating how each optimization affects the generated code Global Signals and Parameterless

Procedures

• Defining models for testing and efficient use of procedures

• Benefits and tradeoffs associated with use of Parameterless Procedures features will be discussed

• Examples illustrating how these features affect the generated code
