Dear Richard,
I would like to take this opportunity to express our satisfaction
with the quality of work, responsiveness and flexibility that
Data Science Automation demonstrated in a recent project at
our West Chester, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility. The
project involved a co-development approach, where DSA provided
programming services and systems integration expertise, while
working side by side with one of our test engineers, both
on and off-site. This key project allowed us to upgrade our
obsolete DIS & PS/2 Microchannel based test systems, to
state-of-the-are Windows NT 4.0 systems, indefinitely extending
the life span of a significant amount of internal assets.
We had started this task almost 2 years ago on a part time
basis, but simply did not have enough internal resources to
complete the challenge of converting some 150 source code
files from Microsoft Visual C 1.5 for DOS to the National
Instruments LabWindows/CVI environment. Contracting this work
to Data Science Automation freed up the resources and got
the project completed professionally within a mutually acceptable
timeframe.
DSA proved quite capable at adapting our input databases
from Paradox 3.5 to Microsoft Access 97, modifying the National
Instruments Test Executive to meet our needs, redesigning
the user interface entirely, implementing the new hardware
and even helping to debug our custom-built interface cards.
Now, with DSA's guidance, the new source code adheres to
a single industry standard as well as our internal company
standard, paving the way for increased test flexibility, smoother
changes and program upgrades in the future. We are very satisfied
with a job well done, and would certainly consider and recommend
Data Science Automation again for future projects.
Best regards,
MEI
