Data Science Automation was founded as an automation
programming and consulting firm, but has grown and diversified significantly to
provide comprehensive research, manufacturing and business automation services.
DSA currently provides services ranging from a short project consultation,
writing detailed project specifications, or delivering complete turn key
automation solutions including all of the ancillary engineering necessary.
Data Science Automation is in business for the following purpose: To apply
automation technology to Acquire, Analyze, Present and Manage Data to Monitor,
Predict, Control and Optimize Processes for Increased Productivity, Improved
Quality, Reduced Costs and Deeper Knowledge.

1. Do you need to Acquire, Analyze, Present or Manage Data?
We apply diverse technical skills, and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products
to create integrated hardware and software solutions to acquire and analyze
data, then extract, present and manage meaningful process or product
information.
ACQUIRE: We automate the acquisition of data by
connecting computers to process and product data sources that are used to
measure physical phenomena (e.g. video, temperature, pressure, strain, flow,
etc). Then we write custom code to acquire data from those sensors,
instruments, standalone, networked or wireless devices, files, databases, or
any other conceivable source of data.
ANALYZE: We automate the analysis with existing
routines or by writing custom algorithms to reduce the data to meaningful
process and product information; by conditioning, measuring, and/or applying
digital signal processing, statistical analysis, SPC/SQC, or other diverse
mathematical manipulations.
PRESENT: We automate the presentation and sharing
of the resulting information through custom display graphics, HMI/MMI, charts,
tables, websites or publication-quality reports. We can also automate the
presentation and sharing of information with wireless tools such as PDAs, cell
phones and pagers.
MANAGE: We automate the management of information
by creating custom log files, spreadsheets, databases, tables, forms, queries
and reports that facilitate data security, storage, integration and mining.

2. Do you need to Monitor, Predict, Control or Optimize
Processes?
We apply diverse technical skills, and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products
to create integrated (not isolated) hardware and software solutions that span
the enterprise; to monitor and predict research and manufacturing process
capabilities, and control those same processes and product tests for optimized
performance.
MONITOR: We automate the monitoring of process and
product characteristics, the comparison with process set points and product
tolerances, the logging of data for historical purposes, and the alerting of
personnel in alarm conditions.
PREDICT: We automate the prediction of process
capabilities, product life, equipment maintenance schedules, safety hazards or
violations
CONTROL: We automate the real-time control of
centralized or distributed processes and/or product test sequences by
integrating advanced PC-based software and hardware technologies. In other
words, we
CLOSE THE LOOP by applying SPC, PID, fuzzy,
adaptive and motion control techniques to process devices such as flow
controllers, valves, motors, pumps, environmental chambers, robots, etc.
OPTIMIZE: We automate the optimization of
research, manufacturing and business operations by applying engineering and
scientific disciplines to process and product design inadequacies. We write
robust software solutions that span the enterprise from order entry through to
shipping, integrating factory floor control and capacity with ERP, MRP, MES and
SCM systems for optimization at the highest level. We provide integrated, not
isolated, solutions.
