TestStand Accelerates Bluetooth Testing

Project Description: The solution was to leverage existing LabVIEW code modules developed during the engineering development of the transceiver and integrate them with additional test modules into an optimized Test Stand sequence with customized reports. Data Science Automation, a National Instruments Select Integrator, developed a test system to conduct a full suite of Bluetooth tests. Because of customer confidence in LabVIEW, the existence of prior prototype test modules, and the desire to easily integrate test modules written in LabWindows/CVI, TestStand was chosen for the operational test system. The traditional Automated Test Equipment (ATE) could not provide the full suite of test conditions for the Device Under Test (DUT). The system integrated National Instruments TIO, DIO, and GPIB cards with a temperature controlled airstream for testing of extreme conditions.
